What is Hair Growth Laser?

Hair growth laser is a low-level laser treatment that stimulates hair follicles and hair growth. Using medical-grade lasers, this hair growth treatment in Singapore irradiates photons into the scalp to help weak cells stimulate hair growth, thereby diminishing hair loss. This procedure is a safe, convenient, and non-invasive solution for hair loss.

Hair Growth Lasers We Offer

At our aesthetic clinic, we use a hair laser that gently penetrates the scalp:

  • Erbium YAG hair laser stimulates hair growth and reverses hair loss. Using manageable pulses of heat, cell signalling pathways are activated to “wake up” hair follicles to produce hair growth with minimal discomfort and no downtime.

How Does Erbium YAG Laser Work?

Erbium YAG laser emits a wavelength of energy light to induce hair cycle transition, turning the resting phase into the growth phase. Aside from providing necessary energy for hair growth, the hair growth laser also helps in distributing nutrients and oxygen to the hair roots. Features of Erbium YAG hair laser include:

  • Minimal discomfort

    – Although each patient has unique pain tolerance, the Erbium YAG hair growth laser is reported to have little to no discomfort.
  • Non-invasive treatment with no injections

    – Erbium YAG laser emits light to penetrate the scalp without requiring any incision nor injections.
  • Suitable for both men and women with thinning hair

    – Hair growth laser is a safe and effective hair growth treatment for men and women who suffer from hair thinning.
  • Complements well with proper scalp care

    – Aside from good records of having no side effects, hair growth laser works well with any healthy scalp care routine.

Common Causes of Hair Loss That Can Be Addressed by Hair Growth Laser

There are several causes of hair loss that can be addressed by hair laser, such as:

  • Hormone-related hair loss

    – Hormones are the most common culprit of hair loss for both genders, which can be treated by hair laser therapy.
  • Age-related hair loss

    – Hair thinning and hair loss can happen in older people. Hair laser can help reduce the severity of hair fall and promote growth.
  • Family history of hair loss

    – Hereditary hair loss may not be cured, but treatments such as laser therapy can help stimulate hair growth.
  • Post-partum hair loss

    – Some women experience hair thinning or bald spots after giving birth which usually grows back after a few months. If not, hair growth laser may be able to help treat the problem.

What To Expect in Hair Growth Laser Procedure?

During the procedure, a tolerable level of energy will be activated and will pass through your scalp to the hair follicles. The therapy should go on continuously for several sessions for a certain number of months. Hair growth laser sessions are generally painless with little to no side effects. You can see results after a few months, it can generate new hairs and even strengthen existing hairs.

Is There Downtime? How Long Will It Last?

Hair growth laser has little to no downtime. You may go back to your normal activities right after the treatment, albeit feeling a little (temporarily) sore. After the required sessions, most providers advise carrying on with the hair growth laser treatment for maintenance purposes.

Are There Side Effects?

Hair lasers including Erbium YAG laser are very safe. There’s no known side effect associated with the treatment especially when done by an accredited doctor at an accredited aesthetic clinic in Singapore.
